Military Families
Are you preparing to be deployed?
Are you worried about your familiy while you are gone? Your kids?
Do you need some suport while your loved one is deployed? Are your kids struggling in school or at home?
Is your family stuggling with issues since you have returned? Drinking or other high risk behaviors?
Counseling can be helpful in strengthening family relationships during various phases of the deployment process. This can be done privately. Twin Cities Counseling values your privacy and will not share any information with anyone without your written consent.
Families that have good communication and coping skills will typically be better able to adjust to the changes that are made during and after the deployment process. Twin Cities Counseling can help family members cope with stressors at each stage of the deployment process. Support groups for parents, spouses/significant others, and children can be arranged!
Post-deployment stress can put strain on individuals within a family. The extraordinary experience of being deployed can cause stress reactions in soldiers for a period after returning home. EMDR (what is this?) is provided by Twin Cities Counseling to help an individual cope with the trauma of deployment or disabling injury.
